Ticket #Date/TimeQuestion
1981818/6/2010 6:20:22 PMi have a brand new ACCEL 8140C coil that gets very hot and fails after a long day(400 miles) of highway driving. Whats up with that? Do I need a resistor?
1977717/25/2010 11:59:01 AMCar starts and runs good. However after driving car to car show and letting it sit for a few hours car will not restart. Removing spark plug I find I have no spark. However once car is allowed to sit overnight I find I again have spark and it will start again and runs well. Only to repeat this aggravating and embarrassing thing again. Coil is mounted in the stock GM location on the intake manifold.
1969907/1/2010 10:38:11 AMI bought Accel part # 8132 (Hi Perf Cap and Rotor kit) and the rotor will not fit. The machining seems a little off, ie plastic extrusion that fits in distrib. groove (channel) is too thick in plastic to slide in, as it should. Cap fits alright. Noticed on web that someone else calls this rotor being "too tight." What's the fix? Btw, where's your Q.C.? -and why don't you mention this problem? Fortunately other consumers do. How do you spot a "good" rotor? Parts store said they were aware of other comebacks on this one, but only offerred a new...

1933193/13/2010 2:47:15 AMI had a Jacobs Electronics Pro-street ignition system that was originally bought for a 1990 Ford F-150 w/302cid, but Ford was parked due to engine fire, hi-po system was never put into Ford, so I called Jacobs (it was still Jacobs then), he said no problem, should work for '92 Chevy...so in it went, along with Jacobs hi-po wires with ceramic boots, well, anyways, one of the wires connected with a header and melted through, I was wondering what the chances are that I could get single a replacement wire? Especially since I can't afford $400 for...

I would like to know if you have a particular model that would fit the bill. I am not sure if the stock coil has an internal resistor or not but perhaps you could find a coil by Accel that would be an exact circuit replacement with better performance and let me know a part # and I can have my local auto parts store order it for me ,thanks Steve Kuhn
